perhaps one of my favorite bible scriptures ever
i thank god for this writing gift
and much like the bible says
i believe that it will make room for me
amongst great men.
so, its no coincidence that my favorite scripture is:
write the vision and make it plain
it is nicely framed and sitting on my desk
(printable available for purchase soon; shameless plug)
as i was flipping through instyle
i came across my horoscope.
now, i’m not one to particularly pay attention to these things
but i couldn’t ignore how reflective the words were of my life right now.
so, i took it as further confirmation
and a glimpse of what the remainder of 2016 will look like for me.
first of all, can we just thank god for seasons.
having gone through some of my roughest seasons
and to be able to walk out of them in newness
ain’t he good?!
but anyway, so i took the time to write some things down
and created a vision board for the last quarter of 2016.
vision boards are about feelings.
it’s about bringing the desires of your heart to life.
and every day when you look at it you’re reminded of
and you are left feeling inspired.
so with that being said,
nine things i believe everyone should include on their vision boards:
so if you’re a blogger like me this can include things like bloggers you’d like to collab with.
brands you’d like to work with.
publications you’d like to freelance for.
conferences you want to attend
events you’d like to cover or host
and if you’re not
focus on promotions?
how much debt will you eliminate?
how much savings will you have tucked away?
becoming more financially independent?
how much money do you want to make monthly from your blog?
trends you want to try?
weight you’d like to lose?
new exercises you want to complete and master?
train for a marathon?
decrease your body fat?
build a closer relationship with Christ?
have a sound mind.
be more centered and focused?
let go of fear or hurt?
specific tangible items you want
pray together more?
have bible study together?
weekly date nights?
be more open to love?
try to date more?
do you want marriage?
things you all can accomplish together
eat together as a family?
cut down on expenses?
kids to explore their talents?
new skills you’d like to acquire
regardless of what you decide to put on your vision board
remember that the primary focus is to
design a life in which you love.
so grab some magazines.
grab some of your favorite quotes.
grab your favorite pair of scissors
and a cork board.
play some music
(i particularly like a good mix of ratchetry.)
gets me in the “fuck yea, i can do this shit” kind of mood.
and envision your life as you want to know it.
